This project began in late 2006 and aims to:

  • Understand the influences affecting prescribers, including factors affecting the awareness and uptake of new drugs.
  • Identify interventions/strategies to increase appropriate, evidence-based, safe and cost-effective prescription of medicines.
  • Investigate patterns of drug adoption and displacement by practitioners.
  • Pilot test interventions to improve evidence-based drug prescribing
