What causes laryngitis?
There are other viruses and bacteria that can cause laryngitis, but these are not common (e.g. the measles, mumps and herpes viruses), and normally only occur in people with weakened immune systems (e.g. caused by HIV infection, chemotherapy or steroid medicines).
