Guide to medicines information resources

Use this guide to find important medicines information resources relevant to Australian health professionals. You can also find telephone numbers for phone-based medicines information services.

The guide provides a brief description of the type of information to be found in each resource, its availability, whether there is a charge for access, and the country of origin. Links are provided where possible.

Please note

  • Some resources may be available free of charge or at a reduced premium via your employer or professional organisation.
  • The Practice Incentives Program (PIP) includes an incentive for practices to provide medical practitioners with access to key electronic clinical resources. This is one of the three requirements for the eHealth Incentive. For more information, see the eHealth Guidelines.

The links and resources in this guide are provided for the convenience of Australian health professionals. Listing of a resource external to this website does not constitute endorsement or a recommendation by NPS. The information here is correct as at June 2010.
