The maximum quantity of hydroxocobalamin has been increased from 2 to 3 ampoules. This is because the expiry date of the product has been extended after an improvement in the manufacturing process. For prevention of vitamin B12 deficiency, hydroxocobalamin 1000 micrograms should be given every 2-3 months.
