The NMS scholarship provides an opportunity for a health academic, health worker or policy maker from the Asia-Pacific region with an interest in quality use of medicines or rational drug use to attend and present their work at NMS 2012.
The scholarship provides complementary registration to NMS 2012 (24–25 May 2012) and to the Asia Pacific Conference on National Medicines Policies (26–29 May 2012). Travel, accommodation and expenses (up to $5000 AUD) are included in the scholarship.
The winner will provide a 10-minute oral presentation of their work as part of a concurrent session at NMS 2012.
How to apply
Email a completed application form along with your CV, letter of reference and your abstract for NMS 2012 by 20 February 2012. (Closing date extended to 27 February 2012)
The winner will be notified by 9 March 2012.
Eligibility
We will accept applications from people in the Asia–Pacific region who are working in a relevant QUM field or role.

NMS 2012 brings together health professionals, consumers, policy makers, academics, the pharmaceutical industry, government, health organisations, medical writers and other experts to discuss and debate the current and future state of quality use of medicines.
Quality use of medicines, or rational drug use, is one of the central objectives of Australia's National Medicines Policy. It is described as selecting management options wisely, choosing suitable medicines if a medicine is considered necessary and using medicines safely and effectively.Contact the NMS secretariat.
