Medicines Line is a collaboration with Healthdirect Australia

Experienced registered nurses provide consumers with answers to medicine questions on the spot or refer consumers to a general practitioner, pharmacist or another health professional. If you have a complex enquiry, or if you wish to report a possible medicine-related adverse event, you may be put through to an NPS MedicineWise pharmacist.

Medicines Line is available from anywhere in Australia from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm eastern standard time (excluding NSW public holidays).

This telephone service is not for emergencies, medical advice or second opinions.

Callers are encouraged to discuss the information provided by Medicines Line with their own doctor or pharmacist, who are best placed to help interpret the medicines information.
