MedicineWise app terms and conditions

• MedicineWise app is developed by NPS MedicineWise, an independent, and not-for-profit health organisation.
• We will collect, store and use your information strictly in line with Australian privacy laws.
• We need to store your information so it is backed up for when you change phones.
• We will use your information to give you health information that is relevant to you.
• We will never share your identifiable information with third parties without your consent.
• We may de-identify your information and analyse it for insights that improve health outcomes for Australians. 

These terms and conditions are made between National Prescribing Service Limited ("we" or "us" or "NPS MedicineWise") and you ("you" or "your") and govern, your use and our responsibility, of our consumer health management product ("MedicineWise app") app (the "Agreement").

If you are operating the app on behalf of someone else, you must have that person's consent or authority to share their personal information with us. In accepting these terms and conditions you confirm that you have obtained that consent. It is your obligation to take all reasonable steps to ensure that no unauthorised person shall have access to the app or the personal information contained in it. 

The purpose of this Agreement is to allow you to use the app (including any updates). The app means all databases, data, and documentation, which may be used by you to manage medicines and other health information to create better health outcomes, for either yourself or those you care for. The app is currently made available to you free of charge but we reserve the right to amend or withdraw the app, or charge for the app or service provided to you at any time and for any reason. We will notify you prior to making such changes.

As you know, the app is provided over the internet and mobile phone networks and accordingly the quality, speed, availability and reliability of the app may be affected by factors outside our control. You should also be aware that the terms and conditions of use of your mobile network and internet provider continue to apply to you in relation to your use of the app and you may incur charges when using the app.

We wish to provide you with an app which is easy to use and up to date. When updates are issued we may require you to install these in order to continue using the app. If you experience any difficulties, we may be able to help. Please email [email protected], with your query and we will do our best to help you.

Some of the content on the app is provided by third parties. While we endeavour to ensure the correctness of this content, we cannot guarantee its validity, or accuracy, including any recommended applications.

Please be aware that the app is not a substitute for medical advice. Any personalised notifications, information or medical issues should be discussed with a qualified health care professional before being acted on. If in doubt, please seek medical advice. The information provided is accurate at the time of publication, but may change over time. Incidentally, being entirely independent means we do not endorse or recommend any brands, products (including medicines), tests, treatments or procedures mentioned in the app or the Content. These are provided for information only. While we are proud of our app and believe it will be of great benefit to you, we are unable to guarantee its performance. In the event of any issues, our liability will be limited to the license fees paid to use the app.

You may terminate this Agreement at any time or simply stop using the app. We may also terminate the app, or modify or terminate services and/or product offerings in connection with the app, however we will give you 30 days' notice prior to making any change.

While we want you to enjoy using the app we also need to protect it. We ask that you only use the app for the purpose for which it is provided and for no other purpose.

Please be aware that the app is also protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This means that while you are licensed to use it, this use does not transfer any right, title, or interest in the app. We retain these rights including rights in any modifications or improvements regardless of who makes them.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. This Agreement is personal to you and may not be assigned to anyone else.
