Diana feels that she was disadvantaged with her treatment for severe period pain because of her young age.

I believe it was birth control when I was 13, because I was having really bad periods. I'd end up with iron deficiency every month, I was in absolute agony. Then, from there, I was put straight on a … pretty much from the word go, tried just about everything on the market. I kept getting worse, nothing was really working. But the age-old line of, oh she's too young to have this or, we can't diagnose it until she's over 18. So no treatments could really be effectively started until I was in that age bracket.
